Here are a few photos I took during a quick stop at the Seed Savers Exchange Heritage Farm this summer. The Heritage Farm, located about six miles north of Decorah, Iowa, is the headquarters of Seed Savers Exchange click here founded in 1975 by Kent and Diane Whealy. Their collection started with only a small handful of seeds given to them by Diane's grandfather shortly before he passed away, and has grown into the largest private seed collection in the United States. Unfortunately, I was only able to visit a small portion of the 890-acre farm, which is a living museum of rare and historic varieties.
