First SnowStorm of the Year

Basswood called 36 hours ago to say he was crossing the border into Mexico. He told me he would call when he was safely across. Well… he has not called yet. Finding Landrace Seeds in Guatemala

Basswood hiked up into the mountains of Mexico and Guatemala this past winter looking for heirloom and landrace seeds. Basswood is Home

Basswood is home form Guatemala and Mexico. I am so excited. He was traveling for three days to get here. (Hitchhiking, bus, plane) He is so tan and has lost weight. They took him aside and gave him special attention, I mean screening when he got to Dallas and almost made him late for his flight to Minneapolis/St Paul. Basswood is Coming Home

Basswood took a 22 hour bus ride from southern Mexico to Cancun. He arrived in Cancun last night about eight and then had to hitchhike to the airport. He is planning on staying at the airport overnight and then catching his plane, that is supposed to leave at noon.
