Basswood in Antigue Guatemala

Basswood hopped a bus to Antigua, Guatemala.  He says the place is different from other places he has been in Guatemala.  People speak English with about one in three people being either American or European.  There are not really any resorts, but there are a lot of hostels and hotels.  The city has a population of about 35,000 people.  He said he was surprised by the number of guns he has seen there.

Basswood just wrote and said, "I just found out that the owner of my hostel was a farmer and owned a vegetable export business, but his seed source was bought by Monsanto, and the seed poisoned his soil and he lost everything."  What a difference a seed makes...
