Vaccine Syndrome

Since I was discharged from the military I have always felt the shots I received while on active duty made me ill.  I had chronic fatigue, and joint pain/issues.  I saw Vaccine Syndrome this week and I realized I am not alone.   A friend sent me a link to a Mercola article called Vaccine-Deficient Employees Fired to Gain Healthcare Funding.  I was quoted in this article that shows hospitals might say they mandate flu Read More …

Vaccines Revealed

It has been eight days since I was fired for not receiving my flu shot.  Today I got an email from Dr Patrick Gentempo that says they are putting out a docu-series on vaccines.  I watched some of the GMOs Revealed  docu-series they put out this summer and found it very interesting.  I am looking forward to this new series about vaccines..   Vaccines Revealed is a documentary series that starts tonight.  “According to the Read More …

Essentia Health in the News

Minnesota Public radio aired a segment about Essentia Health’s mandatory flu shot policy.   “About 300 employees of Duluth-based Essentia Health could lose their jobs for refusing to comply with the company’s new mandatory flu shot policy. “Monday is the deadline for the company’s 15,000 employees to get the vaccine, or receive a medical or religious exemption. Essentia says 98 percent have complied. “Scot Harvey is not one of them. Harvey, who lives outside Chisholm Read More …

Is Your Freedom Worth Fighting For?

Veterans Day has just passed. A day when we stop and think about the sacrifices the men and women in the military have made to secure the freedoms we enjoy. I ask you, was such a great sacrifice worth it? Sure! Every Veterans Day we try and tell the veterans we know, “Thank you for your sacrifice.” Do our actions speak louder than our words?   Essenia Health made a new policy two months ago Read More …

Mandatory Flu Shot

Union’s flu shot motion denied; Essentia Health mandate still set to take effect on Monday   That was the headline for an article in the Duluth News Tribune this morning.  A Judge denied the United Steelworkers Union’s request to block the firings.   It bothers me that in September a hospital can change a policy to require a flu shot and one can be fired in November if you cannot comply.  (I am in Nursing Read More …

What Happened to the CARE in Healthcare?

I chose to become a nurse 12 years ago because I wanted to help people.  I pictured myself at the patient’s bedside caring for and comforting them.  I saw myself sitting there holding their hand when they were scared and just needed someone to talk to.  Patients are in the hospital because they are sick and in need of help.  If they could care for themselves they would be at home.   Then I Read More …

Veteran Fired For Not Getting Shot

I remember growing up in the 1980s. At that time the Soviet Union was the biggest threat to our freedom. I remember hearing stories about some poor worker who lost his job or home because of some petty offense and thought, “How lucky I am to live in America where that would never happen.”   I joined the military in June of 1990 because I wanted to protect the freedoms that I hold so Read More …

Proud to be an American

Every Veterans Day I listen to this song by Lee Greenwood and It brings tears to my eyes.  I was in the Military but never saw combat.  I am smart enough to realize that I will never be able to comprehend the magnitude of the sacrifice of those men and women who have stood in combat to protect the freedoms that I often take for granted here in America.   If tomorrow all Read More …

Garden Seed Corn

Thanks to the freezing nights, harvest time is over for us.  Even with the deer eating some of our squash patches we still harvested more squash then ever.   We harvested a very diverse crop of corn.  Some of the corn we tried did not mature here because of  our short growing season but we did pretty good otherwise.

Rare Heirloom Seeds

For the month of September Garden Seeds is featuring Baker Creek Heirloom Seed Company again.  We featured them when we first started this website back in January of 2016 because Jere inspired my son Basswood with his desire to learn about and collect rare seeds.    Garden Seeds Featured Seed Companies.   There is a documentary series on the dangers of GMOs that has been running the last couple of weeks.  It was put out by Read More …
